Al Majlis to move to a new home
Dubai, UAE – July 18, 2012 – Al Majlis, Dubai Airports’ VIP passenger service, is to move to a new facility at Dubai International’s Terminal 3, which once open will provide customers with far reduced connection times.
The new building will be given a fresh, majestic look while retaining all the comfort and service that customers have come to expect from Al Majlis. While part of Terminal 3, Al Majlis will remain an exclusive service that adheres to the same privacy and comfort levels that were available in the past. The new facility will have a private entrance for the exclusive use of Al Majlis customers.
Construction of the new facility is already underway and is expected to open towards the end of the year.
The current facility is being relocated as part of Dubai Airports’ $7.8bn Strategic Plan 2020 which will see the airport capacity increased from its current 60 million passengers a year to 90 million in 2018. The old Al Majlis site will be used to accommodate additional aircraft parking.
“Al Majlis remains committed to providing the highest level of service to all of its customers and appreciates their strong support. We believe that that bringing Al Majlis to Terminal 3 will help improve connection times while maintaining the exclusivity of the service our customers expect,” said Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports.
During the transition between the old and new facilities, Al Majlis will communicate any changes well in advance to ensure that customers are not inconvenienced in any way.
The day-to-day operations will continue as normal in the existing facility until the new Al Majlis centre has been opened and the transition to the facility has been completed.
