Dubai Airports’ campaign inculcating culture of regular medical checkups among employees
Dubai, UAE –  April 25, 2013 – Dubai Airports’ three-day employee wellness programme that concluded on Wednesday at both the city’s airports benefited more than a 1,000 airport employees who received free comprehensive health checkups. The event was organised by the airport operator in collaboration with Amber Clinics Dubai.
Open to employees of Dubai Airports as well as its numerous partners, the health drive attracted some 1,300 registrations and over 5,000 consultations with 13 specialty doctors and a wide range of diagnostics including Blood Sugar, Cholesterol, ECG, PFT, Tonometry, Refraction, ergonomic evaluation etc. The highlight for the 2013 campaign was the introduction of Amber Clinics’ special programme for the complete wellbeing and lifestyle modification for optimal performance of employees.
“The health of our staff is among our top priorities and the campaign is a reflection of our keenness to ensure their wellbeing. Regular medical checkups are necessary for prevention and early detection of health issues and free camps are a good way to attract people and encourage them to develop the habit,” said Meshari Al Bannai, Vice President of Human Resources at Dubai Airports. He thanked Amber Clinics for their support and the benefit they brought to airport employees and their families.
