Inter-terminal shuttle

Dubai International offers 24-hour inter-terminal shuttle bus service solely for passengers transferring airside between Terminals 1, 2 and 3.

Upon exiting Dubai International, you can also take the Metro to shuttle between Terminal 1 and Terminal 3.

Public transport

Dubai has an extensive taxi system, a comprehensive bus network, an automated Metro system and convenient waterways that connect you from the airport to anywhere in the city.

Taxis are the most common way of getting around. Metered cabs from Dubai Transport Corporation, recognised by their cream colour, are efficient and have well-trained and courteous drivers. Dubai Transport taxis also operate a service from the airport. For fares please visit the Roads & Transport Authority website

Additionally, most hotels offer transport for their guests. There are also a number of radio taxi companies that have cars on call and whose numbers are available at all hotels.

Bus stations are located opposite both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Buses numbered 4, 11, 15, 33 and 44 connect with Terminal 1 while Bus number 2 connects with Terminal 2. Special air-conditioned Dubai International buses with ample baggage-holds have also been introduced. These buses serve the most popular corridors in the city centre with over 80 hotels and furnished apartments within easy walking distance.

Opened in September 2009, Dubai’s Metro, operates automated trains that run at ten-minute intervals, between ten stations located across the city. Current rules allow commuters to carry up to two pieces of luggage (with one being hand luggage). For more information visit the Roads & Transport Authority site
